RG Consultancy are delighted to be working with a successful engineering company to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role is ideal for an AAT part-qualified or qualified candidate looking to develop their career within a collaborative team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
*Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
*Support month-end and year-end close processes: accruals, prepayments, adjustments
*Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
*Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
*Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting
*Support budgeting and variance analysis
*Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
*Assist with VAT returns and compliance requirements
*Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
*Studying towards or qualified in AAT
*Proficient in Excel and accounting software
