I’m currently working with a well-established and highly respected planning consultancy in Edinburgh that is looking to appoint a talented Town Planner to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in their planning career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The RoleYou’ll be involved in a wide variety of projects across sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The role offers exposure to the full planning process-from early-stage appraisals through to applications, appeals, and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
*Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
*Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
*Liaising with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders
*Supporting senior colleagues on complex projects
*Contributing to business development and client relationships
About You*Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
*Working towards or already MRTPI qualified
*Previous experience in either consultancy or local authority
*Strong report writing and communication skills
*Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
