Warehouse Operative
Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 DOE
Are you a reliable and proactive individual looking to join a small but dynamic warehouse team? Our client is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day operations of a busy and fast-paced warehouse environment in Thatcham.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves a variety of warehouse tasks including picking, packing, and handling goods of various sizes and weights. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
*Accurately pick and pack orders, ensuring care and quality
*Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment
*Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures
*Use computer systems to manage stock and orders
*Load and unload delivery vehicles
*Perform manual handling duties
*Check incoming and outgoing goods
*Carry out general ad-hoc warehouse tasks
*Use initiative and support the smooth running of the warehouse
*Develop a working knowledge of the company’s wide-ranging product range
What our clients Looking For:
*Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential)
*Comfortable with manual lifting and physical tasks
*Computer literate with good attention to detail
*A team player with a proactive attitude
*A valid forklift licence is desirable, but not essential
