A well-established and growing environmental consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Geoenvironmental Consultant to join their team in Basingstoke. This is a key strategic hire aimed at strengthening both technical delivery and business development capabilities within the geoenvironmental division.
This role is ideal for a Chartered Scientist (CSci) with a proven track record in delivering complex contaminated land projects and, importantly, the ability to win and develop new business.
The Role
You will take a leading role in managing and delivering geoenvironmental projects while also driving growth across the region. Responsibilities will include:
*Leading and delivering contaminated land and geoenvironmental projects
*Providing technical oversight and mentoring junior staff
*Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
*Identifying and securing new business opportunities
*Preparing and reviewing technical reports (Phase I/II, risk assessments, remediation strategies)
*Supporting the strategic growth of the team and wider business
About You
*Chartered Scientist (CSci) or working towards chartership
*Strong background in geoenvironmental/contaminated land consultancy
*Demonstrable experience in business development and winning work
*Excellent report writing and project management skills
*Strong commercial awareness and client-facing ability
*Leadership experience or readiness to step into an Associate-level role
