HR Assistant - Ipswich

We’re looking for a capable and approachable HR Assistant to join a small, busy HR function based in Ipswich. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in being well organised, and wants to build a long-term career in human resources.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with confidential information, confident communicating with people at all levels, and able to manage their workload in a fast-moving environment. In return, you’ll gain broad exposure across HR activities and the opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers
*Maintain accurate HR records and update systems
*Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities
*Prepare HR letters, contracts, and documentation
*Support absence tracking, benefits administration, and payroll data
*Assist with training coordination and people initiatives
About You
*Previous administrative or HR experience
*Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
*Clear and professional written and verbal communication
*Able to handle sensitive information with discretion
*Confident using Microsoft Office
*Positive, proactive, and willing to learn
