They are looking to hire a new position as a Graduate Assistant Accountant, within their finance department. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is keen on developing their accounting career within an international organisation.
Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Graduate Assistant Accountant will support on a number of key transactional and reporting duties across various entities, dealing with AP/AR and month-end.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Ensure all routine finance processing is completed accurately and to monthly deadlines
*Work with internal teams to gather data for reporting and decision-making
*Manage accounts payable, including invoices, purchase orders, and coding
*Ensure costs are recorded in the correct period
*Plan and carry out regular supplier payment runs
*Process employee expenses in line with company policy
*Build strong relationships with suppliers and resolve queries quickly
*Complete monthly bank reconciliations, petty cash and journals
*Support VAT returns and maintain accurate financial records
*Assist with process improvements, ad hoc analysis, and finance projects
Profile
The ideal candidate for this Graduate Assistant Accountant position, should have the following:
*Recent graduate (or equivalent) with 6-12 months of accounting experience in a similar role
*Experience in processing invoices and managing Accounts Payable
*Strong academic background
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
*Interest in studying towards a qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
