Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Electrical Technician to join a growing engineering team, with a strong focus on control panel wiring. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in neat, accurate wiring and can confidently interpret technical drawings to deliver high-quality builds.
Key Responsibilities
*Assemble and wire electrical control panels to engineering drawings and schematics
*Interpret and work from electrical diagrams, layout drawings, and wiring schedules
*Carry out point-to-point wiring, looming, and cable termination to a high standard
*Install components such as relays, contactors, PLCs, and terminal blocks
*Perform basic testing and fault finding on completed panels
*Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with relevant regulations
*Maintain a clean and organised workspace and follow health & safety procedures
The Ideal Candidate
*Proven experience in electrical panel wiring or a similar role
*Strong ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings (essential)
*Good knowledge of electrical components and control systems
*High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) preferred
