Job Description:
Greys Specialist Recruitment is recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a well-established, fast-paced finance team within a leading UK media, events and publishing business.
This is a hands-on role offering full ownership of management accounts across specific divisions, working closely with senior stakeholders and divisional directors in a commercially driven environment.
You’ll be joining a busy finance function where autonomy is expected, initiative is valued, and accuracy under pressure is essential.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established and busy finance team.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role with full responsibility for specific business divisions, working closely with divisional directors and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
You will need to be confident operating autonomously, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable challenging and supporting non-finance teams where required.
This role requires someone who can see where improvements are needed and proactively step in with practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
*Full ownership of management accounts for assigned business divisions
*Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting basic tax and year-end financial reporting
*Working with divisional directors to build budgets and financial forecasts
*Collating and preparing information for board reporting and ad hoc analysis
*Providing financial insight to support commercial decision-making
*Liaising with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and commercial teams
*Supporting wider finance team activity where required
About You
We are open to a range of experience levels, but the ideal candidate will likely be:
*Qualified, part-qualified (CIMA / ACCA), or qualified by experience
*Strong in Excel and confident working with financial data
*Comfortable working in a multi-division or multi-project environment (media/events experience advantageous but not essential)
*Experienced in producing management accounts independently
*Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and non-finance teams
*Highly organised, able to prioritise and work to strict monthly deadlines
*Calm under pressure with strong attention to detail
Knowledge of Sage 200 would be beneficial but not essential.
