Job Description:
About the Firm
Our client is a well-established, independent accountancy practice serving businesses across the Suffolk and Norfolk region. Built from the ground up, the firm has earned an excellent reputation as a trusted adviser, delivering high-quality compliance services alongside insightful commercial support.
Their service offering extends well beyond core accounts and tax, encompassing payroll, company secretarial, bookkeeping, forecasting, business start-ups, management consultancy, IT solutions advice and specialist tax planning. This breadth of expertise allows them to build long-term, value-driven relationships with their clients.
The Opportunity
With a loyal, experienced team and a strong culture of collaboration, the firm is now entering an exciting phase of succession planning. The Senior Partner is preparing for retirement, and the existing ownership team is keen to welcome an experienced accounting professional to work closely with them in delivering client services and helping to guide the firm’s future.
Reed Practice has been engaged to identify an individual who will play a key role in client management, service delivery and, if desired, the ongoing strategic leadership of the practice.
About You
This opportunity is deliberately flexible and open to candidates at different stages of their career, including:
*A Senior Accountant seeking greater responsibility and client exposure, but without pressure to move into full partnership
*A Client Manager / Portfolio Manager / General Practice Manager looking for genuine long-term career progression into senior leadership
*Equally, candidates who are content at senior or manager level and value stability, autonomy and high-quality client work
*We welcome those who are qualified or qualified by experience seeking full or part time work.
Ambition is welcomed but not mandatory — the firm is focused on finding the right professional fit rather than forcing a predefined career path.
Why Join?
*Clear succession planning and long-term stability
*A respected, growing independent firm with strong regional presence
*Supportive ownership team and loyal staff base
*Flexibility around career aspirations and progression
*Opportunity to shape the future of the practice, if desired
Contact Natalie Harden at Reed Practice to arrange an immediate initial, no obligation discussion.
