Transactional Finance Services Lead – Interim Opportunity
Location: Derbyshire & occasional travel to Nottingham
Working Pattern: Hybrid 2 days on-site
Contract: 9 months FTC or day rate option with potential to go permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: 64,000 + 8000 car allowance pro rata
Benefits: Free parking on-site
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Working Hours: Flexible 07:00–18:00 with core hours 10:00–14:00
Overview
An interim opportunity for an experienced transactional finance leader to oversee a high-volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function within a large complex organisation undergoing transformation
You will lead a team of approximately 80 with responsibility for operational performance process improvement and strengthening controls across a largely outsourced processing environment
Key Responsibilities Summary
*Lead AP and AR teams through two direct managers overseeing around 80 staff
*Manage high volume transaction processing approximately 80,000 invoices per week
*Improve cash flow performance reduce aged debt and aged payables
*Strengthen financial controls governance and supplier customer relationships
*Drive process improvement and automation initiatives
*Support wider finance and transformation activity

*Large scale team leadership in a fast paced high volume environment
*Strong focus on operational performance and continuous improvement
*Managing change within a transforming transactional finance function
*Balancing outsourced processing oversight with internal control and stakeholder management
