This London-based Private Client Tax Manager position offers a salary of £75,000 - £95,000 and is suited to a motivated and confident individual with a strong academic background.
The successful Private Client Tax Manager will join a team working with a broad range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals and family groups. Client matters often involve complex tax considerations such as residency and domicile status, trusts (both domestic and international), property ownership, and business interests.
Based in London, the role provides excellent exposure across a wide variety of technical areas, maximising breadth of experience and client coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Client Work
*Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services across multiple tax areas
*Support senior team members in business development activities, including attending client meetings and contributing to thought leadership content
*Provide advice on a wide range of tax planning areas, such as estate and trust planning, international tax considerations, pension planning, and owner-managed business matters
*Review self-assessment tax returns and related documentation prepared by junior staff
*Handle client queries and maintain strong client relationships
*Oversee work-in-progress and billing to ensure commercial efficiency
*Review capital gains tax submissions and provide related advice
*Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance standards
Projects and Operations
*Assist with administrative tasks and internal projects to support team operations
*Contribute to ad hoc assignments that broaden exposure across different technical areas and client types
People Management
*Contribute to the supervision, mentoring, and development of junior team members
*Provide constructive feedback and support ongoing learning
