Job Title: Private Client Tax Manager
Location: Birmingham (with flexible working options)
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000
A well-established professional services firm is looking to recruit a Private Client Tax Manager to join its growing tax team in Birmingham. This role offers a strong blend of compliance and advisory work, focusing on high-quality private client tax services.
The team advises a diverse portfolio of individuals, including HNW clients, business owners, landlords, and family groups, covering both UK and international tax matters.
This Private Client Tax Manager position in Birmingham offers excellent scope for progression, autonomy, and involvement in complex advisory work within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities*Manage a portfolio of private client tax relationships
*Review and prepare complex self-assessment tax returns
*Deliver compliance and advisory services across income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax
*Advise on a range of planning areas including trusts, estates, residency and domicile issues
*Act as the main point of contact for client queries and ongoing relationships
*Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients where required
*Review work prepared by junior team members and provide technical guidance
*Support billing, WIP management, and portfolio profitability
*Contribute to advisory projects and wider team initiatives
About You*ATT / CTA qualified (or equivalent experience)
*Strong background in UK private client tax within practice
*Experience managing client portfolios
*Confident reviewing work and supporting junior staff
*Strong technical knowledge across personal tax matters
*Excellent communication and client relationship skills
*Organised, proactive, and commercially aware
