Job Title: Operations Coordinator
Location: Aberdeen, UK
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Coordinator to support Workshop and Project Management teams. This role is critical in driving on-time delivery for customers by ensuring efficient coordination, accurate system updates, and streamlined workshop processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in reducing repair lead times, improving operational efficiency, and controlling costs.
Key Responsibilities
*Ensure full compliance with all HSE and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
*Manage lifting equipment and maintain accurate tooling/service lifting gear registers.
*Drive planning and coordination activities to reduce repair lead times within the workshop.
*Plan and coordinate on-site inspection requirements, including FM, lifting, and premium thread inspections.
*Coordinate pre-survey cleaning of tools and equipment entering the workshop.
*Maintain full visibility and reporting of tools and equipment throughout the maintenance lifecycle, including:
*Live location tracking of tools and spares
*Monitoring lead times, forecasts, and current status of repairs and subcontracted work
*Physical verification of tool and equipment movements
*Managing shipping receipts, dispatches, and incoming returns
*Initiate subcontractor requirements for rework or coating based on survey outcomes.
*Evaluate cost implications and benefits of rework, replacement, or substitution of tools and components.
*Update and maintain tool unit configurations.
*Maintain and update tool tracking systems with accurate progress statuses.
Skills & Experience
*Strong coordination and organizational skills with attention to detail
*Experience in workshop operations, maintenance environments, or project coordination preferred
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
*Good understanding of HSE practices and compliance requirements
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
*Proficiency in data tracking systems and reporting tools
