HGV Technician
*Hourly Rate: £19.81 PAYE / £25.79 Umbrella
*Location: Rotherham
*Job Type: Full-time, Temp
*Hours: Mon - Thu 10:00 to 18:00, Fri 10:30 to 18:00
We are seeking a HGV Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are skilled in vehicle maintenance and repair, providing a high standard of fault diagnosis and ensuring safety and efficiency in our fleet operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide a high standard of fault diagnosis on vehicles.
*Carry out periodic safety inspections on vehicles to DVSA inspection manual standards.
*Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and decommissioning inspections.
*Conduct repairs and MOT preparation, presenting vehicles for their annual MOT inspection.
*Work to minimise vehicle downtime through efficient repair work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum Level 5 qualification (e.g., Diplomas of HE and FE, foundation degrees, and HNDs).
*Relevant work experience in a similar role, demonstrating a practical knowledge base equivalent to formal qualifications.
*Strong ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
*Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
