SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
*Work closely with teachers to support personalised learning plans
*Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
*Assist pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
*Support behaviour management using positive strategies
*Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
*Assist with personal care where required
*Encourage independence and confidence in all pupils
Requirements:
*Experience working with children or young people with SEN (highly desirable)
*Understanding of conditions such as autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs
*A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
*Strong teamwork and communication skills
*Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
