Operations Manager
Location: Central Bradford
Job Type: Full-time, Office-based
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000
We are excited to announce an opening for an Operations Manager at our office in Central Bradford, overlooking the City Park. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership team and oversee the operational delivery of services supporting GP federations, GP surgeries, and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) across the UK.
Role & Purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective management, coordination, and continuous improvement of operational services across the organisation. The role provides strategic and operational leadership, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and consistently to a high standard.
With a strong understanding of primary care operating environments (including PCNs, GMS, and APMS contracts), the Operations Manager plays a key role in driving performance, optimising resources, strengthening client relationships, and supporting business growth across healthcare service contracts.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
*Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure services are delivered efficiently and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements
*Lead the development and enhancement of operational processes, driving service improvement and added value for clients and stakeholders
*Provide leadership, direction, and line management to operational and service delivery teams
*Maintain clear, open, and transparent communication with internal teams and senior leadership
*Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to queries within agreed timeframes and managing ongoing relationships through regular meetings and communications
*Oversee rota planning and resource allocation to ensure continuity of service delivery
*Monitor team and service performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and business objectives
*Conduct performance reviews, support capability development, and manage performance improvement plans where required
*Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance frameworks, and external contractual obligations
*Support service mobilisation, renewals, and contract changes in collaboration with commercial and senior teams
*Travel as required for client meetings, performance management, and service reviews
*Identify operational risks and implement mitigations
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability
Required Skills & Experience
*Proven experience in an operations management role, ideally within healthcare, primary care, or a regulated services environment
*Strong understanding of primary care structures such as PCNs, GP federations, and commissioned services (desirable)
*Demonstrable experience leading and managing teams
*Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
*Experience managing performance, KPIs, and service delivery metrics
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
*Confident working with senior stakeholders, clients, and external partners
*Willingness to travel as required
