Job Description:
Power BI Developer - SC Cleared
2/3 months initially - predominantly remote
Our high profile Public Sector client are looking for a Power BI Developer to join them on a contract basis.
*Good foundation in Power BI including report development and UI/UX design, creating bookmarks and custom tooltips, and using interactive visuals effectively.
*Understanding of data modelling concepts including creating efficient star-schema style models and maintaining/optimising existing semantic models.
*Proficiency in DAX including building advanced measures and calculated columns and implementing logic such as role-based access for visuals.
*Data transformation and cleaning experience using Power Query including handling nulls, standardising categories and creating custom dimension tables.
*Good knowledge of data ingestion from different sources and an understanding of refresh strategies and data quality checks.
*Good knowledge of filtering techniques, slicers, cross-filtering behaviour and implementing RLS for controlled data access and consistent user experience.
*Deployment knowledge in Power BI Service including publishing, workspace permissions and creating/sharing content via a Power BI App.
