Science Teacher
Location: MK8
Salary: MPS1 (£32,916) to UPS3 (£51,048)
Start Date: September 2026
We are seeking to appoint an innovative and dedicated Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in MK8. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientific thinkers within a dynamic and supportive learning community.
The successful candidate will be passionate about science education, committed to high standards, and able to deliver engaging lessons that spark curiosity and enthusiasm across Key Stages 3-5.
The RoleAs a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a broad and engaging science curriculum, supporting students to develop confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities*Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging science lessons across the curriculum
*Use practical experiments and hands-on learning to inspire curiosity and deepen understanding
*Foster problem-solving skills and encourage students to think logically and independently
*Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to support achievement
*Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment
*Contribute to the development of an innovative and engaging science curriculum
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching and learning
*Support the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extracurricular activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:*Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE in a relevant subject
*Be a passionate and reflective practitioner with strong subject knowledge
*Demonstrate the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
*Be committed to fostering a love of learning and scientific enquiry
*Have high expectations for student achievement and behaviour
*Be a collaborative team player with a proactive and positive approach
About the SchoolThis secondary school is an Ofsted ’Outstanding’ provision located on the western edge of Milton Keynes, serving a growing and vibrant community. Opened in 2020, the school continues to expand and has recently welcomed its first sixth form cohort, offering education for students aged 11-18.
