Academics are currently recruiting dedicated English Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools throughout Worksop on a temporary, ongoing supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs seeking flexibility, variety, and continued classroom experience.
Position: English Supply Teacher
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £140 - £195 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you


About the Role
As an English Supply Teacher in Worksop, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils in developing their reading, writing, and analytical skills.
You may work on both short-term and longer-term assignments, either within your English specialism or occasionally providing general cover where required. This offers a varied and rewarding teaching experience across different school environments.
This role is ideal for teachers who are passionate about English and want to inspire a love of literature and language while maintaining flexibility in their working schedule.


Key Responsibilities
*Deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Adapt lessons to suit a range of abilities and learning styles
* Encourage confidence in reading, writing, and communication
* Support pupils preparing for assessments and GCSEs
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
* Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times


Candidate Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
* Degree in English or a related subject
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Flexible and professional approach
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
