Job Description:
SF Partners are supporting a Coventry based business in their recruitment of an Operations Manager. This is a new role to the business, and would suit a current operations manager or an individual from production who is looking to expand their remit.

Hours: full time site based Monday to Friday with flexitime available
Salary: £55,000-£65,000

The Operations Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Coventry site, ensuring all operational functions perform efficiently, safely, and in alignment with business objectives. This role oversees planning, production, quality, health & safety, purchasing, and warehouse operations, driving continuous improvement across all areas.

The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising productivity, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring the business operates in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities will include:

Operations & Site Management

- Oversee all day-to-day operations across the Coventry facility
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments to meet production and delivery targets
- Monitor operational performance and implement improvements where required
- Develop and maintain efficient workflows, processes, and systems

Planning & Production

- Manage production planning to ensure deadlines and output targets are consistently met
- Optimise resource allocation including labour, machinery, and materials
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste

Quality Management

- Ensure all products meet required quality standards and specifications
- Oversee quality control processes and compliance with industry regulations
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions
- Promote a culture of quality and accountability across the workforce

Health & Safety

- Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and internal policies
- Lead initiatives to promote a strong safety culture across the business

Purchasing & Supply Chain

- Oversee purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services
- Manage supplier relationships and performance
- Ensure materials are available to meet production requirements without overstocking
- Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain

Warehouse & Logistics

- Manage warehouse operations including goods in/out, storage, and stock control
- Ensure accurate inventory management and reporting
- Optimise warehouse layout and processes for efficiency
- Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery to customers
