Site Mechanical Manager (Industrial Engineering Services)
Salary - upto £60,000
A well-established engineering services organisation with a long-standing presence in the industry is seeking a Site Mechanical Manager to support both office-based operations and on-site activities.
This role involves overseeing a small team of engineers working across multiple client locations, carrying out maintenance and repair work on a wide range of industrial equipment, including motors, pump systems, and other mechanical assets.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage a team of field-based engineers
*Visit client sites to assess technical requirements and diagnose issues
*Prepare cost estimates and quotations for proposed work
*Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project progress
*Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members
*Oversee staff development, including performance reviews and training plans
Requirements:
*Strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems, including pumps and motors
*Electrical knowledge or background preferred
*Previous experience in a similar leadership or supervisory role
*Proven ability to manage and motivate a technical team
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
*Competence with standard IT tools (e.g., office software)
*Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
Core Skills:
*Experience working across multiple sites/environments
*Strong leadership and decision-making ability
*Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
*Solid technical engineering knowledge
*Ability to communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams
*Capable of managing a varied and demanding workload
