ABOUT THE COMPANY

Seacht Group is a dynamic UK-based organisation comprising five subsidiary
companies specialising in engineering, manufacturing, and construction,
primarily serving the energy sector with a focus on natural gas distribution and
high-voltage power. Located in Ringwood near the New Forest, between Southampton
and Bournemouth, the group employs around 90 to 100 people. Over the past
decade, Seacht Group has experienced significant growth, increasing its turnover
from approximately £1.5 million to £15 million. The company values pragmatic,
commercially minded approaches and fosters a culture that balances operational
effectiveness with structured processes tailored to a hands-on SME environment.


WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS

The Part Time HR Manager role is a key group position based ideally in Ringwood,
requiring 2 to 3 days per week on-site with some flexibility. Reporting directly
to the Group COO and managing directors of the operating companies, the HR
Manager will provide practical HR leadership across the group. The role involves
enhancing performance management, recruitment, and people structures while
supporting business leaders in employee relations and people-related matters.
This hands-on position demands ownership of core HR processes including
recruitment coordination, employee appraisal management, and policy alignment.
The successful candidate will work closely with line managers to build
capability, manage complex employee issues, and ensure consistent, proportionate
HR practices across the group. There is potential for this part-time role to
expand as the business continues to grow.


KEY REQUIREMENTS / WHAT WE LOOK FOR

* Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in engineering, manufacturing,
or construction sectors

* Hands-on HR expertise including performance management and employee relations

* Strong recruitment process ownership and coordination skills

* Experience with employment contracts, HR policies, and fundamentals

* Ability to work pragmatically in a low-bureaucracy, evolving SME environment

* Commercially aware with disciplined self-management and prioritisation skills


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

* Salary range: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum (pro-rated for part-time hours)

* Part-time engagement, typically 2 to 3 days per week

* Potential for role expansion and increased working days with associated fee
adjustments
