Elevation Recruitment are supporting a well-established plastics manufacturer in the search for an experienced Tool Setter to join their team in Mansfield.
Location: Mansfield
Salary: £41,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (days and nights)
This is a key production role within a busy injection moulding environment, focused on ensuring tooling and machinery are correctly prepared, optimised, and maintained to support consistent, high-quality output.
Responsibilities:*Carrying out tool and material changeovers in line with production plans
*Setting and validating moulding machines to achieve first-off quality standards
*Ensuring equipment is running efficiently and within defined cycle parameters
*Supporting day-to-day process stability through monitoring and adjustment
*Completing routine cleaning and basic upkeep of tooling in the press
*Working closely with quality teams to maintain product conformity
*Identifying, isolating, and reporting any non-compliant product
*Liaising with tooling engineers to highlight wear, faults, or required repairs
*Supporting structured shift handovers to maintain continuity
*Upholding all health, safety, and compliance requirements including ISO standards


Requirements:*Extensive background in injection mould tool setting
*Strong hands-on experience within a moulding production environment
*Exposure to Ferromatik machinery would be beneficial
*Confident working with twin-shot and stack tooling applications
*Experience with multi-cavity hot runner systems and valve gate technology
*Strong understanding of tooling performance and troubleshooting
*A proactive mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
*Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams
*A reliable, self-driven approach with natural leadership capability
*High attention to detail and pride in product quality
