Reporting to the Accountancy Manager, you will be responsible for:
*Preparing, sending, and submitting accounts and tax returns for a varied portfolio of clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies
*Providing training, mentorship, and technical guidance to your accounting team and the wider business
*Reviewing and checking accounting and taxation work, offering constructive feedback and training
*Leading by example and championing company values within the accountancy team
*Communicating with clients via phone, email, social media, and in person, including chasing records
*Onboarding new clients and integrating them into your portfolio, including initial bookkeeping and compliance
*Advising clients on their tax position and optimising tax efficiency
*Delivering advisory support on cashflow, budgets, and pricing (with training provided)
*Completing, reviewing, and preparing bookkeeping, VAT returns, and CIS as required
*Preparing and leading year-end client meetings and fee reviews
*Managing electronic filing and client administration
*Acting as liaison with HMRC to resolve queries
*Delivering external training, such as client bookkeeping sessions
*Maintaining your professional development and CPD requirements
*Ensuring statutory information with HMRC/Companies House is accurate

What you will need:
*Full membership of a chartered professional body (AAT, ATT, ACCA, or similar)
*At least 5 years’ experience in a similar practice-based role (Senior Accountant, Practice Accountant, Client Manager, or similar)
*Proven ability to prepare, review, and check accounts and tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies
*Experience working with Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT, and FreeAgent
*Strong understanding of tax and compliance
*Confident user of Microsoft Word and Excel
