Your new role
As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll be a key member of the Finance Team, supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts function while contributing to accurate financial reporting. This role offers a strong balance of core transactional duties and exposure to management accounts within a stable, well-structured business.Your responsibilities will include:
*Managing accounts payable, including processing invoices, reconciliations, and supplier payments
*Daily treasury duties, posting and reconciling bank transactions
*Preparing quarterly VAT returns
*Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
*Supporting the maintenance of accurate financial records and controls
What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll be a detail-oriented and organised finance professional who enjoys working as part of a team and taking ownership of key processes.You’ll also bring:
*Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or qualified by experience
*Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Experience using Sage Line 50 (desirable)
