Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly reputable manufacturing business based in Sheffield, who are looking to appoint a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role:
As Senior Accounts Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a varied position that will involve transactional responsibilities, offering excellent exposure across the accounts function.
Key duties will include:
*Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
*Overseeing purchase and sales ledger activities.
*Bank reconciliations and cash-flow monitoring.
*Supporting with VAT returns and statutory reporting.
*Assisting with year-end processes and audit preparation.
*Providing support and guidance to junior team members.
*Identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have proven experience within a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will be organised, detail-oriented, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.
You will ideally:
*Possess strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems.
*Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
*Be proactive with a positive, can-do attitude.
*Have the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
