Job Description:
Job Summary
This role is responsible for managing key aspects of Group financial reporting, including the calculation of unrealized stock profit (URSP), statutory profit adjustments, acquisition accounting, and impairment assessments.
It supports the preparation of primary statements, external financial reporting (Annual Report, 20-F, 6-K), and compliance with regulatory frameworks including IFRS and SOX 404. The role also plays a critical part in hedge accounting policy, coordination with Treasury and Tax functions, and leads the financial management of central holding companies. Additionally, it supports ad hoc strategic finance initiatives, mentors junior team members, and contributes to best practice reporting across global reporting units.
Responsibilities
*Responsible for calculating monthly Unrealized Stock Profit (URSP) and statutory profit adjustments.
*Perform analysis on Group Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) policy to ensure it is appropriate and perform the annual Focus Products review.
*Manage acquisition accounting, including purchase price allocation to Goodwill and Intangibles.
*Review and ensure non-trading items align with Group policy.
*Collaborate on preparation and review of primary financial statements for Group consolidation.
*Support in updating the Group Finance Manual in line with new accounting standards.
*Liaise with Tax and Treasury teams on Group deliverables and statutory accounts.
*Support the Treasury team on hedge accounting policy and disclosure in interim and full-year reports.
*Assist with ad hoc projects led by the SVP, Group Finance, in collaboration with FP&A.
*Mentor junior team members and support them with their monthly activities.
*Conduct impairment testing for Intangibles, manage SOX controls, audit liaison, and present outcomes to the SVP, Group Controller and CFO.
*Support preparation of F&BC papers.
*Lead head-office reporting, including interactions with Group Treasury and Tax to ensure smooth UK Statutory Accounts filing.
*Contribute to regulatory filings including the Annual Report, Form 20-F, and Form 6-K.
*Validate and produce external reporting materials for investors on a quarterly and annual basis.
*Own SOX 404 control processes within the financial reporting function to maintain compliance.
*Support in drafting accounting and reporting updates to the Audit Committee.
*Coordinate with external auditors to complete interim and year-end audits.
*Promote best-practice reporting and accounting consistency across all Group units.
