The Role
This role sits within the Finance team and supports the accurate administration of student funding and tuition fee activity. You will play a key part in ensuring student accounts are correct, compliant and clearly communicated.
• Administer student loan and funding processes, including SLC activity
• Maintain accurate student funding and fee records across finance systems
• Work closely with Registry, Admissions and Student Services teams
• Act as a point of contact for student finance queries and guidance
• Support reconciliations, reporting and audit activity

Main Duties
You will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of student funding transactions and related finance processes.
• Process scholarships, bursaries, discounts and funding adjustments
• Reconcile student funding, fee postings and third-party payments
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies accurately and efficiently
• Raise invoices and credit notes linked to student accounts where required
• Contribute to month-end close activities and funding compliance

The Successful Candidate
• Experience working with student funding, SLC processes or HE finance operations
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume financial data
• Confident communicator with a clear, student-focused approach
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and building strong internal relationships
• Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities

• Salary: £37,000 – £40,800 LW
• Fixed-term placement comtract
• Hybrid working: typically 3 days in the office, 2 from home
