Job Description:
SAP Security & Implementation Engineer
£700 per day | Hybrid | Contract | Inside IR35
This isn’t a "keep the lights on" SAP role. You’re stepping into a live S/4HANA programme where security still needs shaping properly, not just maintained.
The environment is complex, high-risk, and very real. The systems you’re working on support advanced engineering and space-related programmes, so sloppy access models and box-ticking governance won’t cut it.
You’ll be the person who brings structure to it.
What you’ll actually be doing
*Designing SAP roles and authorisations that reflect how the business really operates
*Owning SoD analysis, keeping it practical rather than bureaucratic
*Improving provisioning and access processes
*Working hands-on in S/4HANA, refining what’s already live
*Identifying gaps and tightening controls before they become issues
*Translating business needs into workable security design
What matters
*Strong SAP Security & Authorisations experience
*Solid S/4HANA exposure
*Proven track record building role models properly, not patching them
*Practical understanding of SoD and governance
*Able to deal with stakeholders who don’t speak SAP
Nice to have
*SAP Fiori / HANA security
*SAP GRC / Access Control
*Experience in transformation programmes
Why it’s worth a look
You’re not inheriting years of bad decisions with no room to fix them. There’s still space to shape things properly, and your work will actually stick.
It’s a live programme, still evolving, where security isn’t an afterthought, and your input will genuinely influence how it’s built.
