The Role
*Partner with senior leadership and the governing body to develop and deliver a long-term financial strategy aligned to growth objectives
*Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring strong financial control and sustainability
*Take ownership of a significant transformation agenda, including systems implementation, process optimisation, and operational redesign
*Provide strategic oversight of financial systems development, ensuring robust governance, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement
*Act as a key advisor to senior stakeholders, auditors, and external bodies
*Drive value for money through effective procurement, contract negotiation, and cost optimisation
*Lead and develop the finance function, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture
*Contribute to wider organisational leadership, with oversight of linked operational areas
*Identify opportunities for income generation, funding, and financial innovation

Essential Criteria
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)
*Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a complex organisation
*Strong track record in financial strategy, planning, and reporting
*Experience managing large, multi-million-pound budgets
*Demonstrable experience leading transformation initiatives (systems, operations, or organisational change)
*Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
*Commercial mindset, with the ability to drive efficiencies and identify funding opportunities
*Collaborative and adaptable leadership style aligned to a values-driven culture
