The team:
You’ll be part of a small payroll team of five, which means shared responsibility, proper cover during holidays and a supportive environment during busy periods.
One of the biggest ’sells’ of this role is the people you will be working with. Everyone is really friendly, kind and supportive – exactly what you want if you’re looking for a close-knit department and long-term stability.
The Role:
The great thing is there’s plenty of variety in the role; a far cry from just data input or number crunching.
Your core duties will include:
*Monthly payrolls alongside a small number of weekly clients
*Handling everything from setting up new starters to completing payroll year end
*Handling all aspects of starters, leavers and calculations such as SSP, SMP etc
*Handling payroll queries from individuals
*Managing any workplace pension schemes
Your colleagues to one side the owners invest heavily in making sure the team are happy. There’s an open-door policy that gives you an opportunity to discuss anything you want including job, your career, salaries or simply bringing ideas and suggestions to the table – you will be listened to here…it’s what’s made them so successful.
Your experience:
To be considered for the role you must have previous payroll experience – ideally in a firm of accountants or bureau managing multiple clients; however industry background will be considered.
Due to the nature of the role anyone without current UK Payroll experience will not be considered so please do not apply.
