We’re working with a well-established and growing organisation based in Mansfield to recruit a Commercial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified finance professional looking to step into a commercially focused role with strong exposure to business partnering and financial planning.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Reporting on overhead costs for designated departments, including preparation of monthly prepayments and accruals
*Producing detailed departmental reports to support financial planning and performance analysis
*Investigating and explaining variances between actuals and budget/forecast figures
*Building strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders, acting as a business partner for financial queries
*Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, including calculation of key figures across cost lines
*Presenting monthly financial reports to senior finance stakeholders
*Performing balance sheet reconciliations
*Assisting with group and statutory audits
*Supporting project work, including integration of new subsidiaries
*Providing ad-hoc support to the wider UK finance team
Person Specification:
*Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar finance role
*Strong Excel and systems skills
*Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
*Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
