We are working with a number of primary schools in Newcastle who are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs.

You will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their individual goals. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference.

Key Responsibilities
*Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language needs)
*Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
*Adapt classroom materials and activities to meet individual needs
*Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
*Work collaboratively with teachers, professionals, and parents/carers where appropriate

Requirements
*An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred)
*Understanding of a range of additional needs and support strategies
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Patience, empathy, and resilience
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team
*Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
