Job Description:
JOB TITLE: Payroll Manager
LOCATION: Swindon, Wiltshire
SALARY: up to £40,000
WAY OF WORKING: Full Time | Permanent
THE PAYROLL MANAGER OPPORTUNITY:
*Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees
*Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with legislation
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll, tax, and employment law requirements
*Manage statutory deductions, benefits, pensions, and tax filings
*Reconcile payroll reports and liaise with Finance on payroll accounting
*Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
*Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data confidentiality
*Coordinate payroll audits and support internal and external audits
*Drive process improvements and payroll system enhancements
YOUR KEY SKILLS:
*Payroll Expertise: Strong knowledge of payroll processes, legislation, and compliance requirements.
*Technical Proficiency: Experience with integrated payroll/HR systems and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
*Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to apply logical thinking, attention to detail, and develop effective solutions for payroll issues.
*Communication & Relationship Management: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
