Butler Rose is delighted to be representing this dynamic enterprise in the heart of Central London, in their search for a Interim Financial Accountant (Balance Sheet Focus) to support during a critical reporting and audit cycle. The role is based out of London with hybrid working arrangement (2/3 days in the office)

This role will take ownership of balance sheet integrity, provide insightful analysis, and ensure robust financial control across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities
* Review and take ownership of balance sheets across multiple entities
* Perform detailed balance sheet reviews and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
* Conduct root cause analysis on variances and historical issues
* Provide assurance and "comfort" over financial positions ahead of audit
* Support the preparation and review of statutory accounts
* Act as a key point of contact for external auditors
* Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls
* Support junior team members and review their work where required

Requirements
* Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Strong experience in financial reporting and balance sheet management
* Proven experience in a multi-entity or group structure
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve issues
* Confident dealing with auditors and senior stakeholders
* Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced interim environment

Desirable
* Previous interim/contract experience in large organisations
* Experience with complex ERP systems
* Background in audit (practice or industry)
