Elevation Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business to recruit an experienced CNC Operator to join their components team.

CNC Operator
Location: Bradford
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 4:45pm


The Role
As a CNC Operator / Turner, you will be responsible for operating a variety of CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components in line with technical drawings and production schedules.
You will be working with machines including:
*CMZ TTL66 (FANUC 31HMI)
*Star RNC16 (FANUC 0T)
*Citizen B20 (FANUC)
*Citizen A32 (MITSUBISHI)
*Mori-Seiki AL2B (FANUC 10T)
*Cincinnati Dart VMC (ACROMATIC A2100)
Experience with these specific machines is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
*Loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling and fixtures
*Setting tool and work offsets to ensure accurate machining
*Operating CNC machines to produce precision components
*Working to engineering drawings, route cards, and inspection procedures
*Ensuring parts are produced to required quality standards and within schedule
*Carrying out in-process inspection using micrometres, callipers, and other measuring equipment
*Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as required
*Performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance
*Completing shop floor computer transactions
*Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping (5S)
*Supporting continuous improvement and adherence to ISO standards
Skills & Experience Required
*Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
*Competent in using measuring equipment such as micrometres and callipers
*High attention to detail and commitment to quality
*Strong problem-solving skills
*Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Flexible, proactive, and willing to learn
