What You’ll Be Doing
*Preparing and cooking healthy, balanced meals for around 65–70 children and 20–25 staff
*Delivering meals on time, following structured menus with care and creativity
*Adapting dishes to meet allergies, dietary needs, and cultural preferences
*Working closely with a kitchen assistant to keep daily operations running smoothly
*Taking full responsibility for a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen and dining space
*Keeping all equipment, utensils, and storage areas spotless and in order
*Monitoring kitchen supplies, reducing waste, and ensuring stock is always maintained
*Upholding high food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times
*Maintaining accurate records for cleaning, food safety, and temperature checks
*Communicating clearly with team members and management to support a positive environment
What We’re Looking For
*Experience cooking for large groups in a Nursery or School kitchen
*Confidence managing a kitchen independently and leading daily operations
*Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
*Excellent organisation and attention to detail
*Reliable, proactive, and able to work well within a team
*Good level of spoken and written English
