SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) - M30 Area
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Temporary with Long-Term Potential
Pay Rate: £109.85 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the M30 area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start and strong long-term potential for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:*Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
*Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
*Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
*Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
*Monitor and report on pupil progress
*Promote positive behaviour and support individual learning plans (EHCPs where applicable)
Requirements:*Previous experience working within a school or SEND environment is highly desirable
*Strong understanding of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or similar
*A valid DBS on the Update Service (UDS), or willingness to obtain a new one
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Transferable Skills / Experience:*Experience in care, youth work, support work, or similar roles
*Background in psychology, education, or child development
*Experience supporting individuals with additional needs in any setting
*Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
*Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
