Role Profile: Pension Administrator – Training Academy
As a Pensions Administrator in Isio’s Pensions Administration Training Academy, you will take part in a structured development programme designed to build the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in pensions administration.
The programme combines classroom learning, hands-on experience, and mentoring, with the aim of progressing into one of Isio’s pensions administration teams on successful completion. During the programme, you will work within a supportive team environment to process pension scheme transactions, respond to member queries, and maintain accurate records, while developing a strong understanding of UK pensions regulations, data management, and customer service.
This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in pensions, who enjoys problem-solving, working as part of a team, and delivering a high-quality service to customers.
We are looking for empathetic, motivated, and reliable individuals who take pride in providing a first-class customer experience. You will be organised, disciplined, and committed to doing the right thing for pension scheme members.
Ideal candidates will:
*have a positive, can-do attitude
*be customer-focused and caring in their approach
*be naturally curious and eager to learn
*enjoy working collaboratively within a team
*thrive in a dynamic environment where continuous improvement is encouraged
If you are enthusiastic about learning, keen to develop new skills, and motivated by making a positive difference for others, this role offers a strong foundation for a long-term career in pensions.
The start date for our Academy will be Wednesday 23rd September 2026, and you will be based in our Belfast City Centre office. Office attendance will be a minimum of 4 set days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday) allowing you flexibility to work from home on a Wednesday. This is a full-time permanent opportunity.
What does the role entail?
*Completion of structured training modules and assessments, fully supported by an experienced training team
*Demonstrate understanding of training through practical application, show understanding of end-to-end processes.
*Processing member lifecycle events (e.g. transfers, retirements, and deaths), using pensions administration software to manage workflows and calculations
*Calculate members pension benefits
*Respond to member queries via email, phone, or post, within set timeframes
*Provide clear, jargon-free information and support to help members understand their pension
*Ensure adherence to internal processes, controls, data protection policies and regulatory requirements.
