Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Account Executives to join a well-established and growing team. The role focuses on managing and developing an existing client portfolio while driving retention and identifying new business opportunities.
The successful candidates will inherit a well-established book and play a key role in strengthening long-term client relationships.
The Opportunity
*Inherit a portfolio generating approximately £300k income
*Manage 30–45 clients across the UK (primarily Southeast)
*Work with clients ranging from £5m to £70m turnover
*Handle a diverse range of risks and products across multiple sectors
*Benefit from a flexible approach to shaping your portfolio based on strengths
*Typical premium sizes range from £10k to £50k, with some smaller policies.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage and service an existing portfolio of commercial clients
*Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
*Drive client retention during a critical transition period
*Identify and secure new business opportunities, including cross-selling
*Lead client meetings (minimum once annually per client; more for larger accounts)
*Develop and execute effective broking strategies
*Collaborate with Account Handlers and internal specialists
*Act as the primary market-facing representative for clients
Portfolio & Coverage Areas
You will work across a broad mix of sectors and insurance classes, including:
*Manufacturing & Retail
*Professional Indemnity (PI)
*Commercial Combined
*Fleet & GAP Insurance
*Cargo & Assembly
*Cyber
*Personal Accident & Sickness
*MLP & Loss Recovery
Candidate Profile
*Have a proven track record across multiple product lines
*Are confident managing client relationships independently
*Can ask challenging questions and influence client decisions
*Are proactive in securing long-term agreements
*Thrive in a relationship-driven, client-facing role
