An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Family Paralegal to join a successful and growing family law team in Devizes. This role offers hands-on experience across a broad range of family matters, working closely alongside experienced solicitors and fee earners.
This is the perfect role for someone who is passionate about family law, thrives in a client-facing environment, and wants clear progression opportunities towards a training contract or qualification route.
Key Responsibilities
*Assisting solicitors with a varied caseload of family law matters, including:

*Divorce and separation
*Financial remedy proceedings
*Private children matters
*Domestic abuse cases

*Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court bundles
*Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties in a professional and empathetic manner
*Attending client meetings and taking detailed instructions
*Managing files and ensuring compliance with SRA and internal procedures
*Supporting fee earners to progress matters efficiently and maintain high client care standards
About You
*Previous experience working within family law as a paralegal or legal assistant is highly desirable
*Strong understanding of family law procedures and documentation
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to clients
*Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
*Strong IT skills, including experience with case management systems
*A law degree (LLB) or LPC/SQE is preferred but not essential
