IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Building Support Assistant to join Newton Abbot Library. This role supports the day-to-day running of the building, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
Key Duties:*Provide excellent customer service and assist members of the public.
*Carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks such as basic fixtures and painting.
*Maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor areas, including waste management.
*Support the handling of challenging situations, including antisocial behaviour.
*Assist with the smooth day-to-day operation of the library building.
Requirements:*Friendly and confident when dealing with the public.
*Practical and hands-on approach to basic maintenance tasks.
*Calm and capable when managing challenging situations.
*Physically fit due to lifting, bending, and manual tasks.
