Assembly Operator
Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
Pertemps Isle of Wight are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operator on behalf of our client based in Ryde. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, working as part of a busy production team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling a range of products in line with technical documentation, ensuring all work meets the required quality standards and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
*Check kits against Bills of Materials and report any discrepancies
*Ensure all documentation is correct and up to date for each job
*Assemble components in accordance with drawings, work instructions and industry standards
*Complete work within agreed timeframes and raise any delays or issues promptly
*Work towards and maintain relevant inspection or quality standards
*Follow company procedures, including quality and health & safety requirements
*Support continuous improvement by identifying and reporting process issues
*Carry out additional production duties as required and trained
Skills & Experience
Essential:
*Good manual dexterity
*Strong attention to detail
*Ability to follow instructions accurately
Desirable:
*Experience in electronic or mechanical assembly
*Knowledge of PCB manufacturing or sub-assembly techniques
*Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
