Job Description:
We are recruiting for an Audit Manager on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice based on the outskirts of Bicester. The firm offers a full range of services to a varied client base, from sole traders and SMEs through to much larger companies.

As Audit Manager your responsibilities will include:*Acting as the main point of contact for clients, liaising with them, communicating with them effectively throughout the audit cycle
*Managing teams through the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit engagements
*Monitoring budgets and keeping the partner updated on progress
*Manage and mentor junior team members with the ability to give constructive feedback
*Statutory accounts preparation
*Ensuring the effective and timely delivery of engagements
*Assist in tendering for new clients
*Maintaining and developing client relationships, both written communication and conducting face to face meetings
*Ensuring the firm’s processes and technical standards are maintained
*Continue developing your technical skills in all areas of the accounting and auditing standards
*Other ad hoc duties in line with business requirements
Please do apply if you have the following skills, qualifications and experience:*Fully ACA or ACCA qualified with experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
*Have a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience of managing audits and audit teams
*Strong technical knowledge and experience in IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102
*Proven experience in working to tight deadlines and time management
*Ability to build strong relationships with staff and clients
*An aptitude for teamwork and problem solving
*Good general IT skills with experience with accounting and audit software
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
