Fleet Compliance ManagerLocation: London (with occasional travel to operational sites)
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 (flexibility required)
The OpportunityA well-established, internationally recognised logistics business is seeking a Fleet Compliance Manager to oversee the compliance, safety, and performance of its vehicle fleet.
This is a key role responsible for ensuring all vehicles, drivers, and operational processes meet legal, regulatory, and company standards, while driving efficiency and cost control across the fleet.
Reporting directly into the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and cost-effective fleet operation.
Key Responsibilities*Oversee full fleet compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation including driver hours, tachograph regulations, and operator licence requirements
*Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to ensure ongoing roadworthiness
*Monitor and manage driver compliance, including licence checks, CPC requirements, and infringements
*Ensure all vehicles meet safety standards and are maintained in line with regulatory expectations
*Manage defect reporting, VOR (Vehicle Off Road), and minimise downtime through proactive planning
*Maintain accurate compliance records across digital and manual systems
*Liaise with service providers, repair agents, and insurers to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
*Monitor fleet-related costs, identify savings, and support budgeting and fleet replacement planning
*Support accident investigations, insurance processes, and compliance audits
*Ensure vehicles are correctly equipped, maintained, and operational at all times
*Provide guidance, training, and support to drivers and transport teams
Requirements*Strong experience in fleet compliance, transport operations, or vehicle management
*In-depth knowledge of driver hours regulations, tachographs, and operator licence compliance
*Transport Manager CPC (or working towards)
*Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
*Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
*Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
*Full UK driving licence
