Secondary School Receptionist/Student Liaison

Your new company
A busy secondary school based in Central Birmingham is looking for a School Receptionist/Student Liaison. The cover is Monday to Friday, all year round, 8am - 4pm. The role is to start as soon as possible.
Your new roleThe role will be working in a very busy office to provide admin and reception support. The role will be to provide a high level of customer service for a front of house reception. The role will entail
*Reception duties - enquiries at reception desk, from visitors, contractors, staff and students.
*To arrange and record appointments for Academy teaching and support staff in the reception diary
*Issue of visitor and contractor passes in accordance with the Academy safeguarding process.
*Receipt, distribution and accurate recording of deliveries
*Telephone enquiries - to record and to pass accurate messages to Academy staff and students, and to forward calls to appropriate telephone extensions
*To deal with student queries
*To provide clerical support to the Academy’s administration. To undertake the production of a range of documents using word processing and other IT packages to produce accurate and well-presented information on time, to enable teaching staff to meet their responsibilities for producing information.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will need to have a high level of communication and IT skills and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can’t accept any applicants without this.
