This newly created Accounting Manager role offers the opportunity to lead core accounting operations while driving process improvement and team development.

Job
The role of Accounting Manager will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
*Managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records
*Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
*Preparing and reviewing management accounts in line with reporting deadlines
*Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals
*Acting as the key contact for external auditors and managing the audit process
*Supervising and developing a team of management accountants, finance officers, and assistants
*Maintaining and strengthening internal controls and accounting policies
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with FP&A
*Driving process improvements and supporting finance systems optimisation initiatives
You
As Accounting Manager, you will be skilled and or qualified in the following:
*Fully qualified accountant
*Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP
*Proven experience managing and developing finance teams
*Hands-on experience with month-end and financial reporting processes
*Experience with accounting systems such as Agresso or Sage
*Advanced Excel skills
*Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
*Experience in process improvement or systems implementation is advantageous
*Ability to operate effectively in a changing and evolving environment
