Accounts Payable Analyst | Leicester | Full-Time in Office

This is a really interesting opportunity for a data-driven professional to step into an Accounts Payable Analyst role where your insights will directly influence how a finance function operates. Sitting within AP, you won’t just be producing reports—you’ll be helping shape decisions that improve processes, reduce errors, and drive efficiency across supplier payments.
This role would suit someone who enjoys getting under the skin of data, spotting patterns, and asking "why?". If you’re naturally curious, commercially aware, and confident translating AP data into meaningful insights, this could be a great move into a more impactful analytical position.

What you will be doing*Analysing large volumes of Accounts Payable data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and improvement areas
*Reviewing reporting outputs to uncover root causes of payment delays, errors, and process inefficiencies
*Supporting the optimisation of end-to-end supplier payment processes
*Working closely with AP, finance, and operational teams to improve data accuracy and reporting quality
*Producing clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the business
*Highlighting risks and opportunities within existing AP workflows
*Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the AP function
*Building and maintaining reports and dashboards (tools TBC)
*Supporting decision-making through data-led recommendations

What we need from you*Exposure to Accounts Payable or a transactional finance environment (highly beneficial)
*Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and challenge data
*Confident communicator who can translate data into clear, commercial insights
