£55,000 – £65,000 + Bonus (DOE)
Our client is a highly regarded, award-winning organisation operating within the Healthcare sector, with a growing network of over 20 facilities across the UK. Their Head Office is ideally located in North Leicestershire, offering excellent accessibility.
As part of the company’s continued expansion, NRG has been appointed to support the recruitment of a Company Accountant to join this dynamic and forward-thinking group.
Reporting directly to the Finance & Operations Director, this is a pivotal, hands-on role with day-to-day ownership of the company’s accounting function, alongside leadership responsibility across Finance and Payroll.
The RoleKey responsibilities will include:
*Supporting the day-to-day leadership of the Finance and Payroll functions across the group
*Producing monthly management accounts, including commentary and analysis for Directors
*Preparing and posting month-end journals, and maintaining prepayments and accruals
*Full maintenance of the fixed asset register
*Reviewing and enhancing KPIs and management information to support business performance
*Managing company bank accounts, overseeing cash flow and liquidity
*Producing detailed cashflow forecasts
*Ensuring robust credit control processes and management of direct debits
*Completing balance sheet and bank reconciliations
*Handling intercompany accounting, recharges and balance clearing
*Oversight responsibility for offshore teams covering Purchase, Sales and General Ledgers
*Monitoring weekly and monthly payrolls (PAYE) for up to 2,500 employees
*Providing ad hoc financial support and analysis to the Finance & Operations Directors to help drive business improvement
The Ideal Candidate*Formally qualified (AAT / ACCA / CIMA / ACA) with 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role
*QBE or Part Qualified candidates will also be considered where relevant experience is clearly demonstrated
*Strong IT skills, particularly Excel (including Pivot Tables and Lookups)
*Experience of Sage Line 50 / Sage Line 200 and Sage Payroll is highly desirable
*Previous experience within Healthcare, Care Homes, Private Hospitals or similar regulated environments would be a significant advantage
*Hands-on, commercially minded and confident working closely with senior stakeholders
