*Operational Transformation Manager - AI
*Rate - £850 per day, potential to turn perm
*Duration - 12 months (likely extension, dependent on performance in role)
*Location - Waterside (min 2 days per week)
The client is seeking a highly capable transformation leader to drive a critical, enterprise-wide programme focused on operational improvement and AI-enabled change. This role sits at the intersection of product, operations, and data, with responsibility for translating strategy into tangible business outcomes.
The successful candidate will act as a programme owner and delivery lead, bringing structure to complex, fast-moving initiatives while ensuring end-to-end execution across multiple business units. They will lead product-led change programmes that redesign core operational processes, leveraging AI and digital tools to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and overall performance.
What You’ll Do
*Lead Product-Led Change Initiatives: Drive cross-functional projects that deliver measurable, product-centred improvements across operational units.
*Operational Process Improvement: Work across planning and execution functions to diagnose issues, redesign processes, and deliver tangible operational outcomes.
*Stakeholder Engagement & Storytelling: Communicate complex initiatives clearly and persuasively, influencing senior leaders through structured narratives and data-driven stories.
*Collaboration with Product & Data Teams: Partner closely with data science, analytics, and technology teams to shape and execute product roadmaps.
*Bring Structure to Ambiguity: Introduce clarity, method, and pace into fast-moving, ambiguous problem spaces.
*Own Delivery Outcomes: Manage end-to-end delivery, ensuring KPIs, SLAs, and business outcomes are achieved consistently.
*Champion Change Adoption: Drive the adoption of digital and AI-enabled tools across large-scale operational functions, ensuring initiatives land effectively and stick.
Key Skills & Experiences
*Top-Tier Consulting Background: Experience at major management consultancies (ideally McKinsey, BCG, Bain, QuantumBlack, or BCG X) or equivalent roles requiring rigorous problem-solving and stakeholder management.
*Exceptional Communicator: Able to simplify complexity, craft compelling narratives, and influence senior leadership with clarity and confidence.
*Change Management Expertise: Proven ability to drive adoption of new tools, AI solutions, or digital products within large organisations.
*Operational Transformation Experience: Strong background in process optimisation, operational improvement, or large transformation programmes.
*Hands-On Delivery Leader: Comfortable driving projects end-to-end with minimal oversight; experience as a Project Leader or Engagement Manager is highly valued.
*Cross-Functional Operator: Confident working at the intersection of product, operations, technology, and data.
*Sector Experience: Aviation (desirable)
